Listen to Your Mother

Guo Tang (China)

Many children had a happy childhood.  So did I.  Many funny things happened in my childhood.  Let me tell you a story.

I remember when I was 13 years old.  My sister works in another city.  So we probably meet once about every four months.  This time she brings a bottle of wine and a wineglass going home.  I like the wineglass so much.  The wineglass is made from a figurine.  What a nice wineglass.

I use the wineglass to drink soda.  I don’t want to put the cup down.  I let the wineglass hang up on my mouth and suck it.  Five minutes later, the wine glass still hangs up on my mouth.  My mum said, “Put the wineglass down.  If you don’t put it down, around your mouth will become black!”  But I didn’t listen.

A few more minutes, I feel hurt on my mouth.  Then I have to put down my wineglass.  When I put it down, I go to look in the mirror.  Oh my god.  I see around my mouth is all black.

I really wanted to cry and I find some China medicine oil to apply around my mouth.  And I really regret I did this stupid thing and I didn’t listen to my mother.

Next day, I didn’t go to school.  I was afraid my classmate would make fun of me when they see my mouth.

Ha ha, this is my story.  How about you?
