Living in Philadelphia

Claudia Hutchful

Philadelphia has a variety of people.  That is, Africans, Asians, and the like.  There are a variety of people living in Philadelphia because there are diverse opportunities to survive as a person.

As a young person in Philadelphia, I have all the opportunities.  These opportunities depend on me as an individual to make use of them.  Some of these opportunities are access to education, art and culture, and the fact that we have lots of people entering the police department to help protect people in the community.

Education in the twenty-first century is very important to each and every individual.  As a young person growing up in Philadelphia, I think the people in charge of education are doing their best for everybody to get the maximum education everybody needs.  Also, teachers cannot do it all.  Parents, friends, and everyone can make Philadelphia a better place for education.

Philadelphia is also involved in art and culture.  This is what most young people are interested in and it keeps them busy.  Art and culture helps young people always create and find new ways of doing things in the environment.  It helps young people to be always active and ready to go.

Security is one thing everybody in Philadelphia needs to survive.  Philadelphia is counted as one of the most violent cities in the United States.  Security and protection depends on us, the young people growing up.  It depends on the friends we make, choosing right from wrong and learning how to forgive each other.  The Philadelphia Police Department is doing their best to make this place a better home.  How are we helping them out?  Young people in Philadelphia can make this place a better home if and only if we learn how to forgive each other and take it like it is so dear to us and protect it like it is the only thing we have in life.  Philadelphia is a home.  Let’s make it a better place to be.
