Making Our Home Here: Young Philadelphians Tell Their Stories

On January 31, 2009, the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians held its third-annual One Book, One Philadelphia event at South Philadelphia Library.

Dozens of friends, relatives, and community members joined our Project Bridging Cultures students as they read stories and presented artwork depicting their visions of home.

The Welcoming Center is proud to publish the "Making Our Home Here" pieces on this page.  The students' pieces are presented as written.  Writers and artists retain all rights to their work.
